Emotional Intelligence
The San Juan College Emotional Intelligence group meets
here on campus twice monthly to discuss the subject and how it can
be
used
in their
lives, as leaders, as co-workers, as members of a group, and as parents.
The workbook that is used by the group says, “Emotional intelligence
explains why, despite equal intellectual capacity, training, or experience,
some people excel while others of the same caliber lag behind.”
It
also says that emotional intelligence is “…the dimension
of intelligence responsible for our ability to manage ourselves and
our relationships with others.”
