Bus Institute

The Northwest New Mexico Bus Institute is held every July for a two-day session. The institute provides up to 16 hours of required annual in-service training for bus drivers and attendants from area school systems (Farmington, Aztec, Bloomfield, Kirtland, Shiprock) along with several BIA schools.

The two-hour classes include training in several areas of importance to bus drivers and their passengers, including safety, bus inspections, stress management, and transportation of disabled students. The cost is $50 per registrant.
