What is L.E.A.P.?

Lending Educational Assistance to Providers is a project of the San Juan College Family Resource Center. L.E.A.P. is a free service for home child care providers who qualify, which offers technical assistance in topic areas such as Developmentally Appropriate Content, Best Practices, curriculum development, environmental changes, and basic business procedures.

How can L.E.A.P. help me?

L.E.A.P. will offer:

On-site, One-on-One Technical Assistance
Resource Materials
Mentoring Support
Creative Activities
Child Development Techniques

Who Can Use L.E.A.P.?

To be eligible for the L.E.A.P. program you must fit all of the following criteria.

Home child care providers
TANF Recipient or
TANF Eligible

How do I know if I am TANF eligible?

Does your family household income fall below the amount listed for the number of family members and the maximum monthly gross earnings? If yes, then you are eligible.

The Toy Land Express

Is a mobile unit that delivers resource materials, toys, books, and any requested items to your child care home monthly, courtesy of the Toy Lending Library.

Building Blocks

Is an e-mail newsletter that is sent out quarterly to your e-mail address which offers: What's new in the Toy Lending Library (materials, resources, books, toys), Articles on child development topics and/or issues relating to child care providers, and staff and program spotlight.
