| Training
and Technical Assistance The
purpose of the Training and Technical Assistance
program is to improve the quality of child
care in San Juan County by increasing awareness,
knowledge, and professionalism through providing
resources, education, and support to those
who care for and about children.
T&TA
designs and implements training series,
conferences, contract training, Infant/Toddler
CDA advisement, and special interest
college credit courses. On-site technical
assistance is available to child care
centers and homes in San Juan County.
T&TA collaborates
with the Career Center to support child care needs of TANF
families and distributes materials for State 45 Hour Course
and Essential Elements of Quality Best Practices.
Contract
training is also offered to meet staff
development needs as they relate to early
care, education and family support topics.
For a fee, a training module can be designed
to fit the dates, times, locations and
topics to meet the needs of individual
agency-center staff.
