Geology professor John Burris will be sharing his summer experience aboard the research vessel R/V Sally Ride as it transited from Seward, Alaska to Newport, Oregon.
This voyage was part of the NSF-funded STEMSEAS program, designed to immerse participants in oceanographic research. Dr. Burris will also share how students can apply to participate in future expeditions, and how faculty can apply to be mentors in this program.
