Thanks to a generous donation through the San Juan College Foundation, the San Juan College Veteran Center underwent a remodel in February to improve services for students.
The remodel expands the available amenities and services by establishing a Veterans’ Lounge, remodeling the reception area and computer lab within the Veteran Center. New chairs, desks, signs, wall art and workstations provide a top tier atmosphere to support student success.
The mission of the Center is to serve those who have served, through guidance and support for successful achievement in academic and life goals. The Center aids in the successful academic completion of active duty service members, guard and reservists, veterans, and their dependents. Students without a military background are also welcome. San Juan College Veteran Center has received the distinction as one of the nation’s Top Military Friendly® Schools for the past five consecutive years.
The Veteran Center is open to everyone Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located in the West Classroom Complex.
