San Juan College receives Food Security Bridge Fund support to expand food and basic-needs resources for students through the TrailBlaze Cupboard.
San Juan College is among 28 New Mexico colleges and universities receiving funding through the New Mexico Higher Education Department’s FY26 Food Security Bridge Fund. The $568,000 statewide initiative will help campuses strengthen food pantries and other basic-needs resources, including expanded food selections, health workshops and community gardens.
At San Juan College, the funding will support the TrailBlaze Cupboard and help expand access to food, toiletries and baby supplies for students in need. The TrailBlaze Cupboard is part of SJC’s Food for Thought program, which provides students with food assistance, hot meal vouchers, fresh produce, nutrition resources, and connections to additional community support.
