Plans, coordinates, and supervises all major construction and remodel projects. Ensures projects are built to code and within budget. Recent projects include the new School of Energy building, the School of Science, Math & Engineering STEM H remodel and addition. Future projects include restroom and infrastructure upgrades and the South Hutton renovation.

Provides clean and health facilities for all but SJC East. This includes 106 restrooms, 156 classrooms, 432 office areas, 25 conference rooms, 74 lobby/reception areas, 20 study lounges and 10 kitchens. This highly trained team uses team-cleaning approaches and the latest sustainable technologies to meet campus needs. The team arranges classrooms and events (meetings, fairs, etc.) in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Health and Safety Act, and fire codes.

Environmental Health and Safety
Ensures employees work in the safest conditions possible, in a workplace free from recognizable hazards and with timely access to EHS information, training, and guidance.

Mechanical and Electrical
Provides reliable utilities (electricity, chilled water, steam, heating & cooling and domestic water) by maintaining the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. This group uses a digital control system to operate building systems efficiently. The college is currently in the progress of a campus-wide energy conservation renovation.
