For Kids through Community Learning Center
Fuel your child’s love of learning with hands-on science classes that make education exciting, surprising, and fun.
Our Surprising Science series offers hands-on exploration into topics like chemistry, geology, and wildlife for younger students, while Surprising Biology brings new challenges for older learners. With engaging experiments, games, and real science fair project ideas, these classes make science both exciting and meaningful.
Kids Classes
Science surprises many people both in the reaction that can be seen AND the explanation behind it. This class continues in the Surprising Science class theme, but raises the bar for the older student. This class explores electricity through experiments, projects, explorations, and demonstrations- including electromagnetism, batteries, circuits, motors, and generators. Satisfy science- hungry students and take away exciting and original ideas for science fair too. Digg deeper into the mysteries of electricity and be sure to bring a journal to keep track of our experiments, new vocabular project planning, and data. Due to the project nature of this topic, students will be taking home several of their own creations, and an $18 supply fee covers the supplies for these projects. 10.5 hrs.
