Cost of Insurance
San Juan College contributes a percentage of the premium on health, dental, vision, and life & disability insurance. Once you enroll in any of the insurance plans, the premiums are automatically deducted from your paycheck. The percentage contributed by SJC is based on your annualized salary and full-time equivalent (FTE) according to the following schedule:
|

Note: The above chart applies to full time employees. If you are part time, or if you are on a 9, 10, or 11 month contract, your annualized salary is figured on the full-time equivalent.
- For example, if you are .50 FTE earning $15,000 per year, your annualized salary is $30,000 and SJC will contribute 80% and you contribute 20%.
