Workshops, Activities, and Cultural Events

The EDGE program sponsors a variety of academic, cultural, career, social and personal benefit workshops every semester. Workshop topics are determined by student need and interest. Workshops at the beginning of every semester focus on academic success and include such topics as time management, study skills and exam preparation.
Throughout the semester the EDGE staff will conduct workshops and host guest speakers presenting on topics such as: stress management, financial aid help, and career help (resume writing and interview skills). We are planning to explore other areas like: cultural, relational or spiritual workshops. If you have any ideas of prospective speakers, please come by or call the office.
In addition the EDGE program will attend museums, galleries or cultural activities that abound in the Four Corners area. We will plan serval college visits throughout the semester where the students can learn more about four year institutions and the degree programs offered, housing, student organizations, and gather info on how to transfer to prospective colleges.
