Variety of Life in Art
May 2 through May 23, 2004
The Library Gallery at San Juan College will display “Variety of Life in Art,” oil paintings by Gina Kelly, from May 2 through May 23. The exhibit will include landscapes, seascapes, animals, birds, still-life, floral, modern abstracts, as well as impressionist paintings and portraits.
Kelly was encouraged by an 8th grade teacher to pursue art and has studied it since then. She has learned from Curt Walters, Randy Follis, David Slade, and Jo Ashback, and has taken art instruction at the University of New Mexico and at Alamance Community College in Burlington, North Carolina.
Library hours for May will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and closed on weekends. For additional information call Patrice Brown, gallery coordinator, at (505) 566-3464.
