This workshop will focus on the unique challenges of plein air painting. The ability to see and simplify, to organize the subject matter, and to present it in a simple and straightforward manner is the essence of a successful painting experience. The workshop will include demonstrations as well as individual assistance.

La Lumia has painted in Yellowstone, as well as India, Italy, Spain, Mexico, China, Guatemala, and Morocco. He is well-known for his watercolors of New Mexico's churches and Pueblo ceremonies, as well as oil paintings of landscapes throughout the American Southwest. His work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of New Mexico, Santa Fe; Americana Museum, El Paso, TX; A.R. Mitchell Museum, Trinidad, CO; as well as corporate and private collections worldwide.
