Art of the Southwest

August 10 through August 26

Opening Reception: Sunday, August 10, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Wanda Coffey has been painting professionally for the past 35 years, but has practiced and trained in her chosen profession most of her life. She is an instructor in watercolor and oils and at present teaches at San Juan College.

Being married to a Texas cowboy and attending many rodeos and horse events, Coffey has compiled much reference material for her mostly Western themes. Living in the Four Corners area provides unlimited subject matter ranging from Western landscapes and wildlife to the cowboy way of life.

Her paintings have been published in Art of the American West, Western Horseman magazine, and the Rocky Mountain Rider magazine. Her works hang in many private collections throughout the United States.
