New Works

September 23 through October 24, 2004

The San Juan College Library Gallery will display “New Works” by Gayle Button from September 23 through October 24. A reception to meet the artist will be held Friday, September 24, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.

Button says, “Before art became a part of my life, I did not ‘see’ the splendor of this world or what occupied it. Now wherever I am, I am on continuous surveillance. Can I capture this in a painting? How challenging this is! How rewarding when a painting evolves to a point then it can be framed. I must admit I am probably hooked for life.”

The Library Gallery is open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.
