Winter Light

Mountain during the winterThe Library Gallery at San Juan College will display “Winter Light,” a collection of photography by John M. Staehle, from January 13 through February 13, 2005.

Staehle is a native of New York who recently moved to Deming, New Mexico. He is a professional free-lance photographer whose favorite subjects include landscapes, historic sites and sunsets. Staehle has photographed and written articles about several locations including Valley of the Gods in Utah and Deming’s train depot history.

Staehle has also taught photography at the Deming YWCA, taking field trips to historic buildings and surrounding locations. He is always happy to answer any questions posed to him and has a diverse up-bringing as a photographer's son.

Library hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday. For more information call (505) 566-3464.
