Depression Screening

The SJC Advising and Counseling Center provides free, short term personal counseling services to current SJC students.  Counseling is a confidential process designed to help you address your concerns, come to a greater understanding of yourself, and learn effective personal and interpersonal coping strategies.  Counseling involves sharing sensitive, personal and private information that may at times be distressing.  Your counselor is available to support you throughout this process.  If your counselor determines, with you, that long term or intensive therapy is more appropriate for your needs, your counselor will provide a referral to an appropriate provider in the community.  Call (505)566-3526 to make an appointment with a counselor.
