Its mission is to foster a congenial and helpful atmosphere that will help members improve and hone their painting skills and realize their true potential as artists.

Cottonwoods Julane JensenThe object of painting out of doors is to capture the light and shadow and to get the impression of the place, as well as to feel the excitement of the day and the energy that is received from fellow artists. Plein Air Painters of the 4 Corners requires that painting be done on location with only minimal touch-up to be considered for shows such as this one.

Plein Air Painters of the 4 Corners is made up of people from all walks of life – from homemakers and part-time artists to people who devote their entire energy to creating works of art.
