Show Director, Job No. 62-09.  This is a full time hourly position.  Candidate must have previous experience directing live newscasts; knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control and operations of television systems; ability to work in high intensity, live environment with a number of people; leadership skills; supervisory experience and graphic design preferred; must be flexible; able to make effective decisions in emergency situations, and able to represent company in a professional manager.

 

 

Chyron/Deko Operator with ENPS MOS, Job No. 66-09.  This is a full time, hourly position.  Qualifications include four years of TV broadcast experience with two of those years as a Chyron and Deko MOS; operator in a TV broadcast facility; knowledge of state of the art character generator for live and taped productions; experience with MOS related to ENPS; and ability to type 35 wpm.  You would be responsible for operation of video character generator without error for video productions ass assigned by the production manager; Chyron operation and integration for live or recorded productions; computer operation of Deko MOS; ability to follow established formats and aid in the creation of new show material; and train staff members in operation of equipment.

 

Audio, Job No. 67-09.  This is a full time hourly position.  Qualifications include four years of TV broadcast experience as a live environment audio operator in a TV broadcast facility; knowledge of audio operation for live and recorded productions; experience with and working knowledge of Yamaha DM2000 an 360 Systems Short/Cut; Digicart and Instant Replay a must; and ability to set up and trouble shoot IFB for live and recorded productions.  Duties include operating audio console for video productions as assigned by the production manager; ability to route audio console for IFB and be proficient in the use of limiters and equalization; train staff members in operation of equipment; and perform other production duties as needed.

Account Executive, Job No. 19-09.  This is a full time salaried position.  Qualifications include a background in sales, excellent verbal, written, and computer skills.  This is a full time commission position.  This is a television sales position and involved extensive person to person contact with area businesses to assist them in their television advertising needs. 

 

AM Executive Producer, Job No. 20-09.  This is a full time salaried position.  You must have a minimum of five years in key leadership role within a television newsroom; have knowledge of television news operations; must be a dynamic strong leader and be creative and adept at managing in an aggressive news environment.  You would be responsible for developing and maintaining a strategic and editorial vision for Eyewitness News; responsible for all administrative duties associated with running the news organization; and report to the News Director.

 

Floor Crew, Job No. 26-09.  This is a part time hourly position.  Qualifications include knowledge of TV camera operation, floor directing and general lighting.  You must be able to work varied days.  Duties include operating camera during newscasts and/or live shows, maneuvering camera and follow instructions from director, prepare studio set to ensure lights and mics are functioning, and general maintenance of studio area for newscasts/local programming and taping.

 

Production Associate, Job No. 27-09.  This is a full time hourly position.  Duties include executing production functions of crawls, tags, minimal editing, dubs, copies of ads for clients, sending production to Abq, answering phones and directing information to news and sales, and other tasks as assigned.   Qualifications include working knowledge of a variety of audio and video equipment, ability to handle on-air switching of program materials, and ability to work efficiently under pressure.

 

FCP Editor/Director, Job No. 29-09.  This is a full time hourly position.  Duties include ability to edit two 30-minute talk shows per week; digital online finishing of five 30-minute shows per week; technical duties which include management of Facilis/Final Cut Server and MacPro/Final Cut Pro 2 workstations; edit to completion all material necessary to create a daily 30 minute show that is coherent, communicative and suitable for broadcast and internet streaming; and other duties as assigned.  Applicant must have a minimum of 4 years experience in non-linear editorial workgroup environment; experience in cutting reality, corporate image, documentary or commercial production content; strong working knowledge of graphics; must be knowledgeable with P2 and/or XDCAM, QuickTime and MXF file formats; and experience directing a multi-camera television show.

 

Graphic Artist, Job No. 30-09.  This is a part time hourly position.  Responsibilities include creating new graphics for daily newscasts; working daily with newscast producers, news reporters and the Sports Department; and working with chyron operators on some projects.  Qualifications include knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and at least one year education in graphic design work; must be able to work under pressure with strict deadlines; have an awareness of national and local current events; must be eager to learn and follow directions; and be available to work early weekday mornings.

 

KOBF Floor Crew, Job No. 31-09.  This is a part time hourly position.  Responsibilities include operating and maneuvering camera during broadcasts and/or live shows; follow directions of director; prepare studio set to ensure all equipment if operating okay; operate teleprompter; handle audio, floor directing and set construction duties; and general maintenance of studio area.  Qualifications include knowledge of TV camera operation, floor directing and general lighting.  Must be able to work weekends and early morning and prefer prior television production experience.

 

On-line News Producer, Job No. 32-09.  This is a part time hourly position.  Responsibilities include writing print stories for the KOB website; creating images to appear with stories; using an online tool; editing video clips and posting them to the website; working with KOB-TV newscast producers and reports on generating interactive elements and additional content for news stories; and perform other duties as assigned.  Qualifications include a motivated journalist to create online stories; news writer who can maintain company’s level of immediacy and accuracy with attention to detail; journalism degree preferred; understand basic journalism; experience with HTML and JavaScript ideal; and available to work flexible times.

 

AM News Producer, Job No. 33-09.  This is a full time hourly position.  Candidate must have two years experience and a degree in journalism or related field plus computer skills; must have excellent news writing skills, solid storytelling ability; good people skills and be a team player.  You would be responsible for producing newscasts, writing updates and teases; coordinating news coverage, and helping with special projects. 

 

Accountant, Job No. 35-09.  This is a part time hourly position.  Qualifications include 3 years experience in general ledger accounting, month-end close procedures, accounts receivable and degree in related field preferred.  Duties include primary accountant for KOB, responsible for preparing month-end close entries and reconciling the general ledger account, assist business manager with budgeting, assist credit and billing manager with credit approval, invoicing and filing and post job openings in accordance with EEO FCC requirements.

 

Receptionist, Job 36-09.  This is a part time hourly position.  Qualifications include professionalism, ability to multi-task and handle a busy reception desk and experience helpful but not required.  You would be responsible for answering a multi-line phone, directing calls to the appropriate department, greeting visitors, receiving and logging shipments, sorting mail and distributing job applications when requested.

 

Reporter, Job No. 37-09.  This is a full time hourly position.  Applicant should have two years experience as a reporter for a network television station.  College degree preferred.  Duties include covering news live and/or on tape as assigned; work with Assignment Desk and newsroom management to plan ahead for major news coverage; originate and develop stories for broadcast; research, write and gather newscast content for story; maintain extensive community contacts and awareness of local and national current events and required to meet deadlines.

 

Floor Crew, Job. 38-09.  This is a part time hourly position.  Qualifications include knowledge of TV camera operation; floor directing and general lighting; prior television production experience preferred; must be able to work weekends and early mornings and/or evenings. 

 

Chyron Audio Operator, Job 39-09.  This is a part time hourly position.  Must have experience working television news production environment; knowledge of computer graphics and title systems; and working knowledge of audio mixing consoles in a television environment.  Candidate must be able to work a varied schedule, including holidays and weekends.

 

Administrative Assistant/Traffic Clerk, Job 40-09.  This is a full time hourly position in Roswell, NM.  Qualifications include light accounting; experience with Wide Orbit Traffic System; executive secretarial experience; detail organization preferred; computer knowledge in areas of Microsoft Office-Word, Power Point, Excel and able to type 40-60 words per minute.
