ELECTRICIAN position with 

Peabody Western Coal Company currently has an Electrician. This position requires the incumbent to perform electrical repairs, installation, inspections, and preventative maintenance of electrical lines, machinery and equipment throughout the operation, including all buildings on the mine site.

Experience in handling power cables, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance are required. The incumbent must be able to maintain accurate records and be able to effectively utilize component diagrams, parts manuals, service guides and a computer in maintaining equipment.

High school graduate, G.E.D. equivalent, or comparable education and experience is required; additional technical training preferred. A minimum of five (5) years of electrical experience with high voltage is required, preferably in a mining operation. Candidate must have a valid MSHA Electrical Certification card. This position requires the ability to read instructions and write legibly in English. The successful candidate must pass a job related test to establish the ability to perform the requirements related to this position. The individual must be extremely safety conscious and a self-motivated team player with a desire to enhance department efficiency.

Incumbent must also be able to work different shifts and overtime as required. This is a hourly, non-exempt position. The incumbent will typically be scheduled to work a 40 to 48 hour workweek at a current wage rate of $27.351 per hour. The benefit package for this position includes a pension plan, 401(k), plus medical, dental and vision. If previously employed, must have a good personal work record.
