Mission Statement

The mission of the Student Success Center at San Juan College is to provide academic and other support services to help students meet their goals. We want students conscious of the desirability to become lifelong learners and we encourage them to come to the Student Success Center, “Where smart people go to get smarter!"

Philosophy and Operating Principles

Lack of basic skills poses one of the greatest barriers for students seeking open access to higher education, vocational training, and improved quality of life. To help SJC students breach this barrier, the SSC provides a variety of support services. SSC personnel focus on helping adult learners “learn how to learn.”
