SJC Strategic Plan 2006-2011
Strategic planning is a comprehensive, systematic, development tool designed to help envision the future, anticipate and respond appropriately to changing times, increase effectiveness and develop consensus and commitment. Strategic planning is about shaping the future rather than simply preparing or adapting to it. It requires looking at current performance and analyzing the gaps between present conditions and the envisioned future.
Two important activities will enhance the College's ability to articulate its vision and demonstrate success:
- Benchmarking - comparing ourselves with the best regional and national practices.
- Key Performance Indicators - gathering relevant information to focus and measure the effectiveness of the processes and initiatives.
