Registering for VTDLP Classes
STEP 1: Create Your Account
STEP 2: Apply to San Juan College
- Return to http://www.applyweb.com/aw?sjc
- Click on “Apply to San Juan College”
- Complete and submit the form
- Note that there is a $10.00 fee for applying online
Please Note: All applicants must meet San Juan College’s academic eligibility requirements to be considered a regular status student. For a listing of the specific requirements, please refer to the Academic Eligibility information as posted in the current Academic Catalog.
STEP 3: Complete Your Online Orientation
- Go to https://www.sanjuancollege.edu/studentonlineorientation/
- Select the type of student that best describes you (Hint: VETT students should generally select the first category “Online Student”)
- Complete the orientation
- Click the “Certificate Request” button at the end of the presentation and complete the Online New Student Orientation Certificate of Completion form
STEP 4: Advisement and Registration
- After attending the orientation, call and arrange for an advisement appointment with Sherry Hair at the Veterinary Technology Distance Learning Program (VTDLP) office at 888-313-3838 during regular office hours:
Monday through Friday - 8:00am to 4:00pm - Mountain Time
STEP 5: Submit Transcripts
STEP 6: Activate Your San Juan College Email Account
- Approximately one week after making application to San Juan College, you will need to activate your offical San Juan College email account.
- Log in to the student portal at https://portal.sanjuancollege.edu/portal/main.html
- Click on the red bar labeled "Click Here to Sign into Windows Live Mail"
- Sign in using the following guidelines:
Username: First Initial + Middle Initial + First 12 letters of Last Name + Last Name +Last 2 digits of Social Security Number (Example: jldoel2)
Windows Live ID/Email Address: username + @my.sanjuancollege.edu (Use this to log in to Live Mail)(Example: jldoel2@my.sanjuancollege.edu)
INITIAL Password: sjcp + Last 4 digits of SSN (Example: sjcp1234)
- If you will not be checking your mail on a regular basis, we suggest you follow the directions to have it forwarded to your personal e-mail account.
- If you have any questions, contact the Help Desk at 505-566-3266 and they will assist you.
