Les Mills classes offered again at HHPC
The Human Health and Performance Center (HHPC) at San Juan College is offering two Les Mills classes – Les Mills BODYPUMP and Les Mills BODYCOMBAT. BODYPUMP is from 4-5 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday and 5-6 a.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays all semester. BODYCOMBAT is from 5:30–6:30 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday all semester.
Both classes are part of nationally taught Les Mills courses (classes in New Mexico are taught the same all across the country) and are refreshed every three months with new music and new training routines. The newest music and routines will be introduced on January 14th.
BODYPUMP is designed to sculpt, tone and strengthen the entire body focusing on low weight loads and high repetition movements. A typical class will improve strength, protect bones and joints from injury and improve overall fitness.
BODYCOMBAT is a cardio workout inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai. BODYCOMBAT improves heart and lung function and reduces the risk of heart disease, improves coordination, improves bone density and improves posture, core strength and stability.
