Make Workers Comp Work for Your Business

The Small Business Development Center at San Juan College will partner with the NM Workers Compensation Administration in presenting an updated and expanded discussion of employers rights and responsibilities titled Make Workers Compensation Work for Your Business.

The seminar will be held, Tuesday, October 16, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Quality Center for Business, located at 5101 College Boulevard. The deadline to register is Friday, October 12.

The seminar will be conducted by Charlene Roberts and Wayne Farmer of the NM Workers Compensation Administration. Farmer will discuss lump sum settlements and present information regarding the choice of healthcare providers. He also will explain not only what the safety goals should be, but also how such goals can peacefully co-exist with increased productivity.

Roberts will cover topics including why an employer needs a Workers Comp Insurance Carrier on its team, why it is so beneficial to manage your Stay at Work program, and much more.
