Over 20 soloists and three ensembles will perform in the 27th Annual Young Artists Recital set for 7 p.m., Saturday, March 2, in the Henderson Fine Arts Center Performance Hall at San Juan College. The annual recital is sponsored by the College’s Fine Arts Committee.
This audition-only recital showcases some of the finest young talent in the Four Corners area and has been an annual tradition for the past 25 years. Children this year come from Farmington, Aztec, Bloomfield, Flora Vista and Durango. This year, performers include pianists, violinists, dancers and more.
Recitalists include the Dance4Him Dance Ensemble, which will include Emily Adams, Madelynn Cole, Rachel Herrington, Kaylie Johnson, Danielle Jones, Jessica Jones, Sydney Jones, Lexi LaClear, Esther Rogge and Hope Worth. Kaylie Johnson, Sydney Jones and Hope Worth will also be performing solos at the recital.
The Ballet Durango Dance Ensemble will also perform with Ashley Allen, Bernadette Bianchi, Francesca Bianchi, Claudia Marron and Holly Tate.
Instrumentalists for the performance will be Liberty Allen, Brynn Cullander, Bryan Nicholas Doherty, Kimberly Farnsworth, Grace Fleming, Patrocinio Flores III, Danielle Nguyen and J.R. Smith.
Tickets for the recital are $5 for adults, $1 for students and seniors and $10 for a family pass. Tickets are available at the door. A reception will follow the recital in the 9000 rooms of the Henderson Fine Arts Center.
