San Juan College to host Community Job Fair
The San Juan College Career Center will host a Community Job Fair on Thursday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the SJC Study Lounge. Over 30 local employers are currently registered to attend with full-time, part-time, permanent and temporary positions available. The job fair is free and open to the public.
During the job fair, guest speaker George Sharpe, from Merrion Oil and Gas, will also be conducting a presentation called The Maze of Life – Where are YOU Headed? The free presentation will take place from 11a.m. to noon in room 1614 in the Study Lounge area and is also open to anyone wishing to attend.
Attendees looking for jobs are encouraged to dress for success and bring current copies of their resume. The Career Center also will be offering a free walk-in Resume Review Clinic on Tuesday, March 26, from 9a.m. to noon, and on Wednesday, March 27, from 1 to 4 p.m. Anyone may visit the Career Center in room 1715 during those times to have their resume reviewed and critiqued before the job fair; no appointment is needed.
The Career Center is still accepting business participants with job openings, however space is limited. To register for the job fair, call 505-566-3423 or complete the online registration form on the Career Center webpage under “Employers” at www.sanjuancollege.edu/careercenter.
