San Juan College offering Les Mills instructor classes
The Human Health and Performance Center (HHPC) at San Juan College will offer Les Mills BodyPump instructor courses on July 13 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and July 14 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both classes will be held at the HHPC on the Farmington campus.
BodyPump is part of nationally taught Les Mills courses that are refreshed every three months with new music and new training routines. BODYPUMP is designed to sculpt, tone and strengthen the entire body focusing on low weight loads and high repetition movements. A typical class will improve strength, protect bones and joints from injury and improve overall fitness.
“The Les Mills instructor courses and BodyPump classes are taught the same way across the country. By completing the course, an instructor can teach BodyPump classes anywhere they choose,” said Jason Curtis, coordinator of fitness and intramural sports at the HHPC. “It is a great opportunity for anyone looking to make extra money and anyone wanting to help people get and stay healthy.”
Anyone interested in the courses must register by June 25. The cost for the training is $390 and both days of training are required.
