Sam BachertOnline Student Support Coordinator
BioSam came to San Juan College as a Creative Arts and Design student in 1997. He started working for San Juan College as a Lab Assistant and slowly moved through the ranks. In July of 2006 he was hired by SunGard Higher Education as an Instructional Design Specialist and is currently in that position. He earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Media Technologies and Communication in 2000 from San Juan College. Sam also has received a Bachelors of Science in Education from the University of New Mexico in 2005. Sam Bachert, the Student Support Coordinator is responsible for the new area of learner support. He will oversee usability and accessibility issues, as well as be actively involved in online program development. He is tasked with creating an online readiness assessment, helping students prepare for online learning, provide guidance in creating a student centered online presence, and creating online academic support mechanisms. Additionally, he will be serving on assigned course design teams as an instructional designer and developer.
