Manager, Online Services
Sam Bachert, in the role of Online Faculty Support, is responsible for the new area of faculty support. Continued growth in online offerings at San Juan College has caused attention to be focused on the need for dedicated support of online and face to face faculty whether they are web enhancing their courses or teaching their course as a hybrid or online. Sam will be available to provide support for ANGEL, and other web-based technologies dealing with the development of online courses. Feel free to contact him by any of the means below.
Sam came to San Juan College as a Creative Arts and Design student in 1997. He started working for San Juan College as a Lab Assistant and slowly moved through the ranks. In July of 2006 he was hired by SunGard Higher Education as an Instructional Design Specialist. He has now been promoted to Manager of Online Services.
He earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Media Technologies and Communication in 2000 from San Juan College. Sam also has received a Bachelors of Science in Education from the University of New Mexico in 2005 and a Masters in Community College Administration from New Mexico State University in 2009. He started his PhD in January of 2010 in Instructional Design for online learning and is currently working on his dissertation.
