Biography

A native of New Jersey, Keary has spent the last 15 years in New Mexico and Colorado. Prior to his starting his current position at San Juan College in 2005, he spent the last 8 years working as a GIS analyst first for University of New Mexico Earth Data Analysis Center and the US Forest Service in Albuquerque and then with the Bureau of Land Management in Farmington, NM. Research interests are GIS applications in water and natural resources, human health and environmental interactions, climate change and remote sensing. His free time is spent with his wife and two dogs exploring the mountains and deserts of the Four Corners by foot, bicycle or skis depending on the season.
