The Help Desk is a Mon-Fri 8am-5m single point of contact that assists faculty, staff, and students with resolving their first-level technical needs, problems, and requests. The Help Desk also documents, tracks, and reports all OTS requests and projects to better serve the College. For more information, please visit our Helpdesk page.

Anyone requesting service from OTS will call, email or walk into the Helpdesk. All requests for service or assistance will generate a work order to be completed by the appropriate technician and then rated on a scale of 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent) by the customer upon completion. The technician will attempt to contact the work order originator at least three times. If unsuccessful, the technician will then close the ticket.
Our overall average satisfaction rating has remained around 4.86 out of 5 for the past year.

 

Administrative Applications

Application Services supports and maintains the various application programs/systems that provide the College's administrative, management functions as well as maintaining the San Juan College website.

 

Media Services

Media Services is the central coordinating office for the distribution of audio-visual equipment, the reception and distribution point for satellite and IP teleconferencing, and the production center for video telecourses and other videos that support the mission of San Juan College. Media Services is also responsible for the equipment set-up of the ten meeting rooms. These meeting rooms are used as a meeting place for community organizations, as well as SJC organizations.

 

Network services

Provides support for all network infrastructure and central servers.  Supports all email and web services.  Responsible for all Instructional Lab software installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.  Provides high-level technical consultation to College faculty and staff.

  

Online services

Online Services is responsible for coordinating the development and revision of online courses with the Dean of the School of Extended Learning. The team facilitates online student support coordination, course management system coordination and faculty support, and interactive media design.

User Services

User Services is responsible for the setup and maintenance of all San Juan College owned computers and PC peripherals. They also provide technical support for all approved San Juan College software and act as a liaison to the rest of the IT groups on behalf of users in need of technical support, assistance, and training.
