Wireless Network Card

If you have a personal laptop and you'd like to connect to the SJC wireless network, you'll need a wireless NIC that meets the following specifications:

Compliant with the 802.11a, 802.11b, and/or 802.11g standards

Cards that meet these requirements can be purchased in the SJC Bookstore, or you can borrow one for the day from Student Activities.

The Office of Technology Services cannot offer recommendations about exactly what PC to buy from what provider, but the minimum standard profile for an SJC lab computer is offered here as a guide:
