With mid-terms over and the semester going by so quick I wanted to take this opportunity to remind all of you of some important safety tips to follow.  Recently there have been muliitple automobile burglaries on campus and statistically these types of crimes rise significantly in November and December each year.  Please keep the following tips in mind to help in preventing crimes on campus:   

• Lock your office doors when leaving even if only for a few minutes.  A thief only needs seconds to take something from your office
• Do not leave valuables visible in your vehicle. If you must leave something in your vehicle place it in the trunk.
• Keep your belongings with you at all times, never leave a bag or purse unattended.
• Keep a record of credit card and banking information. If you lose your credit cards, debit cards, etc. contact your financial institution or credit card company immediately.
