Next Steps for Online Students
 

Welcome to San Juan College!  Are you interested in taking online courses at San Juan College?  Below are the 12 steps to follow to get started at San Juan College.  Feel free to contact the onlineadvisor@sanjuancollege.edu or any of the specific offices if you have any questions or concerns.

1.     Apply to San Juan College

2.     Fill out FAFSA

3.     Submit High School/GED or College Transcript(s)

    1. Request Official Transcript Form http://www.sanjuancollege.edu/pages/2266.asp
    2. Send form to your High School or College or
    3. Send to GED Agency for GED transcript 

4.     Take Accuplacer

        For information about the Accuplacer go to http://www.sanjuancollege.edu/accuplacer

        If you have attended college, you may not need to take the Acculacer. 
        Check with your program director or advisor.  

        To make arrangements to take the Accuplacer, contact:

5.     Work with your online advisor to develop a course plan.

 6.    Complete New Student Orientation once you develop a degree plan with your online advisor

        Please note that many online classes are full by May 1.

7.     Register for Classes  

        Once you finish working with your online advisor,  you may register online.

8.     Using WebAdvisor you can register for classes

9.     Pay Tuition

        Use WebAdvisor to Make a Tuition Payment

        Set up payments through NelNet.  There is a $25 NelNet fee for this service. 

10.   Purchase Books and Materials

11.   Complete Course Orientation (if Applicable)

        You will need to contact your instructor(s) for more information on course orientations.
       
        You can obtain your instructor’s name by checking your class schedule.  
        SJC staff e-mail is usually last name, first initial @sanjuancollege.edu. 
        Example:  Janice Sanders would be sandersj@sanjuancollege.edu.
