Responsibilities include instructing students 16 years old and older to improve their basic skills in Reading, Math and English and assisting students in their efforts to pass all five subject areas (Math, Language Arts Reading and Writing, Social Studies and Science) of the General Educational Development (GED) exam. Duties will also include on-going student assessment, the development of individual educational plans, appropriate curriculum guidelines, effective lesson plans, maintenance of student files and curriculum paperwork, and attendance at in-service trainings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required. At least one year’s teaching or tutoring experience preferred. Must have a strong background in math and English and demonstrate an ability to teach adult learners effectively. The candidate should be able to work with culturally and economically diverse students and have good written and verbal communication skills.
