$9.32/hour

Duties include: scrubbing, mopping, waxing and polishing floors; dusting and polishing furniture; cleaning walls, woodwork, lavatories and kitchen; cleaning blackboards; emptying trash receptacles and removing from building; replacing light bulbs; cleaning and shampooing carpeted areas; emptying ash trays; cleaning and straightening conference rooms; cleaning locker rooms and shower areas; operating scrubbers; buffers and other required tools and equipment; performing minor repairs; may move and arrange furniture; perform related work as required. Position will be required to perform custodial duties at SJC Main Campus and off campus centers.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Limited knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies. Ability to perform moderate physical activity; to operate mechanical and non-mechanical cleaning equipment; ability to learn to operate equipment. Individual must be able to maintain positive working relationships, communicate effectively, and be able to speak, read and communicate in English. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times and run heavy/awkward equipment. Must have New Mexico Driver's license. College will verify insurability of top candidate as a condition of employment. Subject to background investigation prior to employment.
