| Duties & Responsibilities: |
The Controller reports directly to the Associate Vice President for Administrative Services and is responsible for oversight of day-to-day operations. The Controller will maintain a system of internal controls that include separation of functional responsibilities and authorization and approval of procedures that give reasonable accounting control over assets, liabilities, and changes in fund balances. The position will supervise all federal and state compliance issues, accounts payable/receivables, payroll, fixed assets, restricted fund management, and financial audits. Other duties include analyzing and maintaining internal customer systems; computing performance indicators; resolving of issues and concerns; assisting the Associate Vice President with budget development, monitoring budget expenditures, financial analysis and reporting and resolving related issues; improving internal control systems; and coordinating with departments in the forecasting and developing long range financial needs. The Controller will supervise and evaluate Administrative Office personnel as assigned.

| Qualifications: |
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, and a minimum of five years advanced accounting experience, two years supervisory experience, and experience with automated accounting systems required. CPA certification, Master’s degree in related field, background in college and/or university fund accounting and/or auditing highly desired. The successful candidate will be a conceptual, analytical and creative thinker with strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to the philosophy of stewardship, and an ability to research and interpret accounting topics and literature. The candidate should value diversity and be an effective communicator. Physical Requirements: Varied sitting, standing, bending, walking. Ability to lift up to 25lbs related equipment/office supplies. All candidates are subject to a Criminal Background Investigation prior to any offer of employment.
