Tuition and Fees

New Mexico residents: $41 per credit hour plus a General Fee of $6 per credit hour, a Technology Fee of $4 per credit hour and a $0.75 cent per credit hour Student Activity Fee. A three credit course will cost $123 in tuition and $32.25 in fees for a total of $155.25 plus any additional lab or program fees. Maximum tuition and fees per semester (based on 18 credit hours) $931.50 + any additional class or program fees. Student Activity Fees do no apply to online classes.

Non-New Mexico residents: $105 per credit hour plusa General Fee of $10 fee per credit, a Technology Fee of $8 per credit hour and a $0.75 cent per credit hour Student Activity Fee. A three credit course will cost $315 in tuition and $56.25 in fees for a total of $371.25 plus any additional lab or program fees. Maximum tuition and fees per semester (based on 18 credit hours) $2,227.5 + any additional class or program fees. Student Activity Fees do no apply to online classes.

Tuition payments

To secure your seat in the courses that you have registered for, you must make sure that your tuition is paid by noon on the Friday before classes begin. For the Fall 2014, the date for payment is Friday, August 1 at noon.

Here are your options:

  • Make sure your financial aid is awarded, not just pending; OR
  • Sign up for the Nelnet payment plan. This spreads your payments over the course of the semester. To sign up, go to www.sanjuancollege.edu and click on the “Apply Now Online” button. From there proceed to the "e-cashier" button. Your ID number is your SJC ID number. If you encounter problems, please call the Business Office at 505.566.3396; OR
  • Pay your tuition out of pocket at the Business Office
