Job Responsibilities

The primary objective of this position is the accuracy of all facets of daily sales, receiving and shipping of alfalfa hay, corn, small grains, alfalfa pellets and bagged grain and grain mixes. This scale clerk position is the primary point of contact between NAPI and its customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions
1. Responsible for the daily sales and proper accounting of the products sold at Region II scales.
2. Coordinate and cooperate with the Accounting Department respective of the daily sales and shipping records.
3. Coordinate and cooperate with the respective crop managers in the harvest reports/schedule and shipping.
4. Assist customer in loading products sold directly out of the scale house, i.e. 50 lbs & 100 lbs sacks of Potatoes; 20, 50, 100 lbs bags of Beans; and 25 lbs sacks NAPI Flour.
5. Assure that there is exceptional level of customer service to reflect the growing prominence of NAPI and its Navajo Pride products.

7. Maintain shipping schedules/records for the alfalfa hay, corn, and small grains.
8. Become knowledgeable of the critical factors of qualities of alfalfa hay, yellow corn, small grains, and mixed feeds.
9. Coordinate with the Granary/Pellet mill Foreman and Facilities Operator on shipping/receiving schedules.
10. Assist in conducting the weekly administrative and safety meetings for the departments housed at Region II Granary/Hay Storage/Pellet mill.
11. Responsible for the daily receiving and shipping from inventory records, inputting of the receiving/shipping of the products.
12. Deliver products to customers using NAPI trucks while adhering to NAPI motor vehicle policy and procedures.
13. Coordinate all shipping schedules with the Processing Facilities Manager and the facility and machine operators for all products.
14. Adhere to the standard operating procedures for the departmental operations.
15. Adhere to the NAPI safety policies and procedure on a daily basis.

Education, prior work experience, and specialized skills and knowledge:

• This job requires a High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence).
• This job requires a Valid Driver’s license with an acceptable driving history. CDL license is helpful.
• This job requires college course work in business or relative field of study.
