Position Description and Qualifications

The duties of the Personal Care provider may include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Plan and prepare meals according to specific dietary requirements of the client.
2. Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting etc.) as outlined in the client's plan of care.
3. Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment through light housekeeping including, but not limited to, changing bed linens, dusting and vacuuming, cleaning kitchen and bathroom, and laundry.
4. Provide companionship and stimulation for the client including reading, walks, etc. and accompany the client to doctors or other appointments.
5. Grocery shopping or other errands when needed.
6. Transport client to doctor's office, grocery store and other essential errands.
7. Provide medication reminders.

Mancos Conservation District

Two full-time technician positions are currently open. One position will be administered through the Dolores Conservation District (High Desert Conservation District) and one through the Mancos Conservation District.

Each position provides technical services in the planning, survey, design and installation of conservation engineering practices. These positions are headquartered in the Cortez Field Office, Cortez, Colorado and provides assistance to clientele in both Conservation Districts. The technicians hired for this position will act as an ambassadors for their district and will be involved in District activities and “plans of work” that are relevant to the Basin Salinity Program.

Conducts investigations to obtain planning and design data for engineering practices necessary to address resource concerns in such areas as water management and water quality enhancement.

Determines survey needs, conducts field surveys, and plots data to create topographic maps, profiles, and cross-sections to be used in the design of engineering practices. Survey Equipment includes, but is not limited to conventional level, total station, laser levels, and GPS Trimble R8 with TSC2 controller. Common engineering practices include: sideroll sprinklers, drip irrigation, gated pipe, irrigation pipelines, pumps, ponds and structures. Irrigation structures of reinforced concrete or steel construction are designed to control water levels, measure water and clean out trash.

Prepares designs, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for conventional engineering practices or systems and assists with portions of more unique or complex designs. Drawings are created in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Provides quality control services including layout, and construction checks in order to ensure adherence to technical standards. Explains construction details to service center personnel, landowners and contractors.

Provides conservation education to landowners including the interrelationships of soil/water/plant quality.

Routinely displays courteous and tactful behavior towards internal and external customers, supervisors, coworkers, and/or team members. Projects a positive and professional image of the Conservation District. Performs all duties in a manner which consistently demonstrates fairness, cooperation, and respect towards coworkers, office visitors, and all others in the performance of official business. Demonstrates an awareness of EO/CR policies and responsibilities of Agency Departmental goals, of valuing a diverse, yet unified work force. Assures the delivery of agency programs and services are carried out in accordance with policy and procedures without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, or physical or mental handicap.

Serves as an incidental motor vehicle operator on both public and private roads during daylight hours and occasionally after dark as needed to perform the duties of the position. A valid state drivers’s license is required. Must have a clean driving record.

Actively supports and participates in the safety and health program activities as required. Complies with all appropriate safety and health rules and regulations in the performance of assigned tasks.

Salary is dependent upon knowledge base and level of experience within a range of $34,000 to $37,000 annually.
