Listening to our community is a top priority at the Center for Workforce Training. Having a thorough understanding of businesses’ training needs guides us in selecting the classes and workshops that we offer.

Our workshops and classes can be customized to meet specific requests, and are taught by instructors who are experts in their field. We also offer classes that are specific to individuals’ skill sets, from basic and intermediate to advanced. In this class schedule, we have designated the three skill sets by icons, making it easier to decide the best fit for your training needs.

This summer, there are an array of workshops and classes for all skill levels. For instance, in the Workplace Basic Computer Skills Certificate class, participants will learn keyboarding and computer literacy, which is vital in today’s fast-paced workplace.

For those who are new in supervisory positions, the 16-hour Effective Frontline Leadership course concentrates on important tools including how to handle conflict and change, provide feedback and coach employees. Participants also will learn how to engage employees through collaboration and communication.

Technical Writing 101 addresses the five essential components of writing contracts, request for proposals, bids and reports. In one day, students will learn the basics of sound writing skills and how to avoid some of the common mistakes made in contract writing.

Project management is key to any organization. We offer basic to advanced Microsoft Project classes that will provide the tools to effectively manage projects from implementation to completion. Additionally, productivity can be increased by learning effective weekly and daily planning and how to master technology through The 5 Choices of Extraordinary Productivity.

Whether you need to brush up on a few skills or learn new ones, the Center for Workforce Training has just what you need. We are here to help you achieve your professional development goals.
