Reception: June 1 – 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Experience some of the richest landscape paintings of national parks throughout the area when the Plein Air Painters of the Four Corners present an exhibit titled Plein Air Paintings of World Heritage Sites; Aztec Ruins National Monument, Chaco Culture National Historical Park and Mesa Verde National Park. The exhibit will be displayed June 1 through June 28, at the San Juan College Henderson Fine Arts Center Gallery. An opening reception will be held Friday, June 1, from 6 to 8 p.m.

En Plein Air,” is a French expression meaning “in the open air,” and refers more specifically to painting in the open air. The Plein Air Painters group joins together to foster a congenial and helpful atmosphere that helps to improve and hone each other’s painting skills. The group also works to help each member realize his or her true potential as an artist, heightens the enjoyment of the craft, and depicts and promotes the beauty of the Four Corners region.

The Fine Art Gallery is located in the Henderson Fine Arts Building, across from the box office.
The San Juan College Art Gallery is open Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For further information about this exhibit or other Gallery events,
