Welcome to the Liberal Arts degree program

Liberal Arts (AA.LBAS) 60-61 credit hours

The Liberal Arts Associates of Arts (AA) degree is a two-year program designed for students who intend to transfer to a four-year institution to complete a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts. 

We strongly encourage you to work with your academic advisor to carefully coordinate your coursework here at San Juan College. They'll help you make sure your courses will meet the requirements of your transfer institution. If you're transferring to an institution in New Mexico, you'll complete the New Mexico Transfer Module as outlined in the Academic Catalog, 

Possible concentrations include Anthropology, Art, History/Political Science, Music, Sociology, and Theatre.
