Biography

I moved to Farmington, NM in 1989 and began attending San Juan College in 1992. While attending college I began working in what is now known as Business and Industry Training. I left SJC in 1997 to work for First Place Financial Corporation which was the holding corporation for First National Bank. I began as a Help Desk Technician and worked my way up to Network Administrator. I left FPFC in 2000 to work for Dial Oil Corp. as a Network Administrator and in 2001, when the opportunity arose, I began working at San Juan College as the Network Services Coordinator. In July 2006, I began working for Sungard Higher Education and in December 2006, I became the Assistant CIO.

I worked my way from an Admin Assistant to a Network Administrator in less than five years and I am a firm believer that anyone can achieve their dream if they have the drive and are willing to work hard. I hope that I can be an inspiration to others that the technology industry is open to anyone and that they should not be intimidated.

I love working for San Juan College and having the opportunity to assist users in doing their jobs more securely and more efficiently. Technology is my passion.
