Hispanic Latino Center
The Hispanic Latino Center, located in the Learning Commons, is one of the many support services the college offers to help students succeed. In a culturally supportive environment, we're here to discuss your academic and career goals, and help you transition into the college environment. You can also develop your academic and professional skills through variety of workshops. Or, simply join in the fun and meet new people through a variety of activities and cultural events.
The mission of the Hispanic Latino Center is to serve students as a resource for their educational achievement by providing retention programs, advisement, and support and to create cultural awareness among the campus and local communities.

Community Outreach and Networking Programs
The Hispanic Latino Center assists in recruiting students through various events and collaborates with other programs including ENLACE, A.G.A.V.E., and Talent Search.
The purpose of the A.G.A.V.E. (All Great Accomplishments Value Equality) Club is to share Hispanic and Latino culture with San Juan College and the community. The club collaborates with the Hispanic Latino Center in various events such as Hispanic Heritage Month, Day of the Dead and Cinco de Mayo Celebration.

Forming Lazos is a program that provides high school seniors information, tools and motivation to continue their education. Through self-empowerment and network building, students will start their journey toward obtaining a degree. With San Juan College partners and community allies, this work will be done through workshops, campus tours, academic and discussion sessions and a Latino College Day.
