Direct Access to Student Email Account

Your email address is username@my.sanjuancollege.edu, where username is your San Juan College username. Your default password is “sjcp” + the last 4 digits of your student id. (For example: if your student ID is 0012345, your default password will be sjcp2345)

For new students, a student email account has already been created for you. To access your student email account from a web browser, go to outlook.com/my.sanjuancollege.edu.

  1. Enter username and password
    Enter your student email address and password in the Student Email login fields
  2. The first time you login to Student Email, you will need to enter your birth year, country/region and accept the terms of the Microsoft licensing agreement. After you fill in your answers, click “I Accept” to continue to your student email account.
  3. All Done! Now, each time you login to Outlook, you can quickly access your email inbox.

How to set up Office 365 email account on your iPhone/iPad

  1. Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Microsoft Exchange.
  2. You don’t need to enter anything in the Domain box. Enter the information requested in the Email, Username, and Password boxes. You need to enter your full e-mail address in the Email and Username boxes (for example, username@sanjuancollege.edu or username@my.sanjuancollege.edu).
  3. Tap Next on the upper-right corner of the screen. Your iPhone will try to find the settings it needs to set up your account. Go to step 5 if your iPhone/IPad finds your settings.
  4. In the Server box, enter your server name, and then tap Next. Exchange Server Name: outlook.office365.com
  5. Choose the type of information you want to synchronize between your account and your device, and then touch Save. By default, Mail, Contacts, and Calendar information are synchronized.

How to set up Office 365 email account on your Android

  1. Before setting up email on your Android, please make sure it is connected to Wi-Fi.
  2. Click on Settings on your phone
  3. Click Accounts | Add Account
  4. The Add Account screen will appear. Click on Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync ~
  5. The Email setup screen will appear. Enter your email and password then click Manual setup.
  6. Enter your username@sanjuancollege.edu or username@my.sanjuancollege.edu. Change the Exchange server to outlook.office365.com. Click Next
  7. The following screen will appear. Click OK
  8. On the next screen, click OK
  9. The following screen will appear. Click OK
  10. The following screen will appear. Click Activate.
  11. Setup will be complete. Click Done. Your email will be added to your inbox.

Student Password Information

The default password for San Juan College passwords is “sjcp+last four of student id” for the initial password as well as when a password reset is requested. (For example: if your student ID is 0000123, your default password will be sjcp0123) You can find your ID number on your ID card or on your welcome letter from San Juan College.

We strongly encourage all students to enroll in our new password reset software. Enrolling in the software will allow you to reset your password at any time through the web if your password has expired or you have forgotten your password. You need to know your current password to enroll.

If you have forgotten your password and have not enrolled in the password reset software, you will need to call the Help Desk at 505-566-3266 to have them reset your password.

Once you have enrolled in the password reset software, if you forget your password, go to http://www.sanjuancollege.edu/reset and click the Reset Password button, enter your username and answer your security question to reset your password.

New Students:

In order to be able to change your password you are now required to enroll in the password reset software. Please follow instructions below upon initial login. At enrollment, please change your initial password to a password of your choice to protect your data. (See instructions below)

Current students should enroll in the password reset software utilizing the instructions below. Please change your password to a password of your choice when enrolling.

We strongly encourage you to change your password at the time you enroll in the password reset software. To change your password:

To enroll:

  1. Visit http://www.sanjuancollege.edu/reset.
  2. Sign in with your User Name and Password.
  3. Click the Enrollment tab at the top of the page.
  4. Select your own security question from the Que: drop down.
  5. Type the answer into the Answer field
  6. Confirm by typing in the answer again in the Confirm Answer

To change your password when you know your current password:

  1. Visit http://www.sanjuancollege.edu/reset.
  2. Sign in with your User Name and Password.
  3. Type in your Old Password (current password)
  4. Type in your New Password and Confirm Password
  5. Click OK
    Note: Password requires 8 characters

To change your password when you have forgotten your password:

  1. If you have enrolled in the password reset software go to http://www.sanjuancollege.edu/reset and click the Reset Password button, enter your username and answer your security question to reset your password.
  2. If you have not enrolled in the password reset software, contact the Help Desk at 505-566-3266 to have them reset your password.

These changes are being put into place to help protect your information.
