Each year during our convocation week, employees are recognized through special awards. These awards are for exemplary performance and contribution to not only the employee’s department, but to the college community.
In addition to special awards, San Juan College employees are recognized through the STARS Club and activities provided for all employees. Each year during the convocation week, a continental breakfast is provided to all staff as they begin the week of learning activities. An employee picnic at the beginning of the year, holiday pot luck lunch, and holiday dance are all activities provided for staff to enjoy getting to know one another. Employees nominated as San Juan College STARS are recognized during an annual breakfast held in their honor.
The recognition team is responsible for both planning the activities and fund-raising in order to provide them. Additional funds are provided through the generosity of the San Juan College Foundation.
