We in the Department of Public Safety are dedicated to providing our student, staff and visitors with a safe and secure environment. To this end, our officers are committed to providing quality professional service to our campus community. We have a low incidence of crime on campus and enjoy a fine relationship with our local Police Department. We invite everyone to review our campus crime statistics which can be located on this site, in our office or at the Office of the Vice President of Student Services. The Department of Public Safety offers a variety of services to the college community, including; responding to all campus emergencies, assisting with crime and traffic accident reporting, escorts, unlocking vehicles, restarting vehicles, and handling the campus’ lost & found inventory,. Our department has implemented a community-based service philosophy to better serve our populations. This includes involving students and staff in making decisions affecting campus safety. This concept assists in establishing appropriate priorities for enforcement and response to campus calls for service. It is our belief that working in partnership with the entire campus community, we will be able to achieve a safer environment for all.
