Henderson Fine Art Gallery
Plein Air Painters of the Four Corners
May 14, 2010 - June 25, 2010
Reception: Friday, May 14 – 6 to 8 p.m.
Experience some of the richest landscape paintings you can imagine through an array of work presented by the Plein Air Painters of the Four Corners. The exhibit will be displayed May 14 through June 25, at the San Juan College Henderson Fine Arts Center Gallery. An opening reception is slated for Friday, May 14, from 6 to 8 p.m.
“En Plein Air,” is a French expression meaning “in the open air,” and refers more specifically to painting in the open air. The artists in the area, who utilize this method to create their art, are adventurous and determined to find the perfect scenes in the right light for their paintings.
Their art captures the unique wonder and magnificence of the Four Corners, which sometimes may be taken for granted by those of us who live here.
The Art Gallery’s summer hours are Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
