Native American Trend Reports 2011-2012

In an effort to achieve the program objectives of the Title III Fast Forward Grant, these discipline trend reports were created to expand the capacity for San Juan College (SJC) to utilize student data to better serve Native American students. Title III Fast Forward collaborated with the SJC Office of Institutional Research (IR) to collect this data on SJC Native American students.

To best meet the needs of SJC's Native American students' academic success, the Fast Forward Program opted to include in these reports all the students who self-identified as American Indian/Alaskan Native and were entered into the student information system. Therefore, quantitative data in these reports will differ slightly from data reported by IR which reports data regarding Native American students in compliance with the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and the New Mexico Higher Education Department (HED).

These Native American trend reports span the last 6 academic years and only show students who self-identified as American Indian/Alaskan Native. The format is similar to the institutional Annual Trend Reports (which includes all SJC students) found on the Office of Learning webpage.
