This family fun event is free and will provide an array of safety activities, including car seat installations, and a Child ID kit booth. Kids and parents alike are sure to be fascinated by Farmington Police Department’s bomb robot. There will also be plenty of games – including face painting and balloons.
In addition, adults can sign up for San Juan College ESL (English as a Second Language) classes and learn more about the Farmington Police Department Citizens’ Academy and Women With Insight program. The programs provide participants with insight into the world of law enforcement and personal protection through classroom instruction and hands-on exercises.
“We’re excited to partner with the Farmington Police Department in providing an opportunity for our community to keep safety at the forefront, meet with our local police officers all while enjoying a morning filled with fun activities,” said Arely Caro, event co-coordinator, and SJC Enlace ambassador/coordinator.
Georgette Allen, community relations liaison for the Farmington Police Department, emphasized the importance of building strong relationships with community members, “The Farmington Police Department welcomes opportunities to partner with community groups in an effort to strengthen our relationship with the public we serve. These partnerships are an essential element in keeping Farmington a safe place for families to live, work and play.
